Course Overview
Every business needs strong, capable managers. At Toi Ohomai you can advance your study in management with our suite of applied, postgraduate management courses. For this course of study you must endorse your qualification with a specialisation in business, health, hospitality or information technology.
By studying the Postgraduate Certificate in Management you learn to sharpen your leadership skills in a highly applied setting and set yourself on the management pathway.
You build on your prior learning within the field of business, health, hospitality, or information technology, and develop research, problem solving and management skills relevant to these business environments.
Our postgraduate management courses are unique in offering a mix of theoretical study and highly applied work-based learning. You get inside local business to analyse challenges and apply your knowledge and skills to look for solutions.
Through independent study you'll be able to conceptualise and evaluate theory and practice within a management scope and apply evidence and enquiry to a relevant context.
The Postgraduate Certificate in Management leads onto Postgraduate Diploma and Masters study. Within 3 trimesters you could complete three qualifications through normal full-time or block delivery*. Or, complete your Postgraduate Certificate and put your new skills to work. You can return at any time to take your learning to the next level.
* Block delivery is once a month on weekends and learning is compressed into intensive, face-to-face blocks of 6 weekends; Fridays 3pm-8pm, Saturdays 9am-2pm and 3pm-8pm, and Sundays 9am-2pm (subject to change - please double check these times when you apply).
Upon successfully completing the requirements you'll receive the award of:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Management, with the relevant endorsement
