Graduate Diploma in NZ Immigration Advice Scholarship
Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology offers one scholarship per annum to a domestic student who has enrolled into the Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advice course. The student must be a voluntary or paid worker for a not-for-profit organisation that deals with immigration matters and must meet all the other eligibility criteria for
this scholarship.
Eligibility
To be eligible for consideration for the award of the scholarship, applicants must provide:
- proof of New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
- proof of acceptance as a full-time or part-time student onto the 2022 Toi Ohomai Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advice course
- career goals, including an intention to continue to work in the not-for-profit sector
- an indication of personal financial circumstances which show how this scholarship will assist the applicant
- proof of employment or voluntary work for a not-for-profit organisation (This will typically be a letter signed by an official, on the letterhead of the organisation the applicant works or volunteers for, dated within the last month, confirming the applicant’s role and responsibilities within the
organisation and confirming that the applicant
Value
This scholarship will cover the recipient’s course fees to complete the Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advice course - a total of eight papers.

Application Requirements
The applicant must attach documents which show:
- certified proof of New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
- evidence that the applicant has met the entry criteria for the Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advisors course
- evidence of employment (either paid or voluntary) in an organisation approved by the Immigration Advisors Authority (IAA) as a not-for-profit organisation
- a personal statement of career aspirations, including an intention to continue to work in the not-for-profit sector; this statement should also explain how this scholarship would assist the applicant’s financial circumstances
