Global Alumni Evening celebrates connections and success

More than 120 international alumni, staff and community leaders came together at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology's Mokoia Campus recently for the Global Alumni Evening, a celebration of connection, achievement and belonging.

The event welcomed graduates from across the world who have studied at Toi Ohomai over the past decade and have since gone on to build careers, businesses and lives in New Zealand and beyond. It provided an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with fellow graduates, share their experiences and strengthen ties with the institution and wider community.

Attendees heard from Rotorua Mayor Tania Tapsell, Rotorua MP Todd McClay and Toi Ohomai Chief Executive Dr Pim Borren, who reflected on the important contribution international graduates make to the region, New Zealand's workforce and global communities.

The evening also showcased a range of cultural performances, highlighting the diversity and talent that enriches the Toi Ohomai whānau. Guests enjoyed networking opportunities and shared stories of their study journeys, career successes and future aspirations.

Hosted by the Toi Ohomai International team, the event reinforced the institute's commitment to maintaining lifelong connections with its international alumni and celebrating the lasting impact they continue to make locally, nationally and around the world.
