Windermere Campus
Our Tauranga campus is located on the southern side of the city, set on 24 hectares of trees and gardens.
Windermere campus, or ‘Windy’ as it’s affectionately known, features modern lecture theatres, state-of-the-art trades workshops built to emulate industry, purpose-built laboratories, fashion studios, a restaurant, three cafés, a beauty salon, music recording studio and radio station, as well as Te Pare a Ruahine, our fantastic heated pool and gym.
Mid 2019 a new IT innovation centre was added, providing a focal point for the Toi Ohomai IT and computing courses. It's part of the faculty’s efforts to foster innovation and creativity in the industry, especially in the gaming space.
The impressive Te Ara o Mauao ("M Block") is the first building in a four-part campus redevelopment planned to roll out over the next 10 to 15 years. The multi-story Te Ara o Mauao is the main base for our creative arts students and features a sound recording studio and purpose-built art, graphic, photography and creative art spaces.
