Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology is continuing to strengthen international relationships, signing a Letter of Intent with Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM).
Toi Ohomai recently had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from UTeM for the letter signing, which is an exciting milestone that sets the stage for future collaboration.
The agreement signals a shared interest in working together across several areas, including Applied Science, Engineering, and Information Technology. Both institutions are looking forward to exchanging academic and technical expertise, collaborating on research and sharing resources, running joint training and development programmes as well as exploring other opportunities that benefit students and staff of both organisations.
While the Letter of Intent isn’t a formal contract, it’s a strong first step toward building a meaningful and productive partnership.
Toi Ohomai Executive Director Kieran Hewitson signed the agreement on behalf of the institute, and Head of International Peter Richardson said it was fantastic to see this relationship taking shape.
“There is strong synergy between our two institutions, particularly in the areas of applied learning and vocational education and training,” he said.
“UTeM brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, and we’re excited about the possibilities this collaboration opens up—for our learners, our staff, and our wider communities.”
This partnership reflects Toi Ohomai’s ongoing commitment to global engagement and creating opportunities that enrich the learning experience for staff and students alike.
