Howie Hinton was a dedicated and inspirational sport and recreation tutor at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology’s legacy institution, Bay of Plenty Polytechnic. This scholarship is offered in memory of Howie’s life and contribution.
The scholarship is open to Toi Ohomai Bachelor of Health, Sport and Human Performance students who are in their first year of study and will be enrolling in the second year of the degree.
Open to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only.
Applicants must provide evidence of a high level of commitment to their sport and recreation studies. The financial needs of each applicant will also be considered.
Assists with second-year course fees.
