Topics you'll cover

This course includes two modules. Enrol for one or both modules, depending on what you require:

  • Electrical Safety and Testing (3 hours)
  • First Aid/CPR Refresher (2 hours) If you hold a current First Aid/CPR certificate (completed within the last two years), you'll only need to enrol in the Electrical Safety and Testing module.

It's essential that you bring your Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) registration number to the Electrical Safety and Testing module. The Electrical Safety and Testing module includes practical testing; if you have your own testing equipment please bring it with you.

As the First Aid/CPR module is a refresher only, you need to have previously completed an Essential/Comprehensive or Level 1/2 New Zealand First Aid Certificate, as part of your electrical training. If you need to complete one of these certificates, you can arrange this through St Johns - 0800 785 646, or Red Cross - 0800 733 2767.

*To attend an electrical competency course, it is an EWRB requirement that electrical workers complete the E-Learning Module prior to attending the class AND that they provide to the tutor evidence of completion. Please complete the E-Learning Module prior to your class start date:
