New Zealand Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 4) - Free Fees FAQs

Who is eligible? 

Domestic students beginning the Level 4 course in Semester 1 or Semester 2, 2027.

Do I need to apply separately for the fees-free offer? 

No. It is applied automatically to eligible enrolments.

What is covered? 

Full course fees are covered. Additional course-related expenses outside those fees remain the responsibility of the student or their employer.

What if I start in Semester 2, 2027 and continue into 2028? 

Your full course fees are covered, including the scheduled study in Semester 1, 2028.

What if I have already paid?

Eligible students starting the course in 2027 who have already paid their course fees will receive a refund.

Does this apply to students who started in 2026? 

No. Students who began in 2026 remain under their existing fee arrangement, including for study continuing into 2027. This offer does not provide retrospective refunds for those students.

What if I need longer to finish or need to repeat a course?

If you continue under an approved extension to your existing enrolment, your course fees remain covered. If you need a new enrolment or to re-enrol in a course outside the covered course, the approved fees for the year of that enrolment will apply. This does not affect the scheduled 2028 study covered for students starting in Semester 2, 2027.
