About this Scholarship

Tauranga Crossing are providing two scholarships ($5,000 each) to students enrolling for the first time at Toi Ohomai in Semester 2, 2026 and are Tauranga residents. The scholarship is aimed to help awardees with tuition fees, transport, study-related equipment including digital equipment, and other course-related and study costs.
 

Eligibility

Applicants must be new students to Toi Ohomai, have a residential address within the Tauranga or Western Bay Council area, and be applying to study predominantly at the Windermere Campus. Awardees will be asked to agree to their name and/or photo being used for Tauranga Crossing scholarship releases.

A letter outlining:

  • what you're doing at the moment (before Semester 2 enrolment)
  • the course you're enrolling in for study and your intended vocational pathway
  • what you will use the scholarship funds for, how it will support financial hardship
  • that you are clearly a Tauranga resident 

Applicant details

I declare that this statement is full and true in all particulars to the best of my knowledge and belief. I understand and agree that in applying for this award, if successful:
  • my name, course selection, and photograph may be used for testimonial, advertising, promotional, or public relations purposes by Toi Ohomai;
  • recipients are encouraged to be active participants in campus life and Student Voice (e.g. applying for student ambassador, class representative, or student council positions);
  • recipients will not be eligible for any other Toi Ohomai administered scholarships in the same academic year.
  • recipients circumstances change (for example you have changed your study plans, or were successful for another Toi Ohomai Scholarship), I will advise the Toi Ohomai Scholarships Office.
  • I will be enrolled and engaging in study at the time of receiving the scholarship
I understand that I will need to meet the criteria for my chosen area of study in order to receive this award.
