Rani teaches in the Master of Applied Professional Studies programme on the Mentoring and Leadership Strand which includes specialist subject areas around reflective practice, communication, and leadership practices.

She supports students to develop critical thinking/writing, and research skills, while working towards improving their own professional practices, as well as supervising dissertation students and guiding them through their academic journey.

Rani has a Masters from Waikato University, and is currently completing her PhD with Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi on environmental co-governance in New Zealand.

In her spare time, Rani loves to go trekking and enjoys painting abstract art.
