Calling all young creatives!
Come along to our FREE creative workshops for year 11-13 students.
You can choose one of the following subject workshops to attend. Topics include:
Visual Arts
Mixed Media Skills: Explore a variety of creative techniques, from screen printing to laser cutting. You’ll collaborate with peers to design and create a conceptual visual arts installation.
Graphic Design
Type as Story: Turn letters into ideas. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll design bold, expressive glyphs that go beyond the alphabet using shape, style, and concept to communicate meaning. Experiment, think differently, and create typography that tells your story.
Fashion Design
Design Your Own Streetwear Fashion Patch: This creative, interactive workshop introduces contemporary design thinking and hands-on sewing and surface design techniques within a tertiary fashion studio environment. You will explore how streetwear communicates identity to create your own statement fashion patch. Bring a pre-loved garment of any description to apply your customised patch to. Make it bold. Make it personal. Make it yours.
Toi Māori
Toi Māori – Nga tohutohu: Exploring Māori visual art and deeper meanings from the Tauranga Moana region is the focus for this workshop. Students will learn about creative design practices, historical insights, and their own cultural values.
Music
Music Industry: Develop your musical performance skills, stagecraft, musicianship, and teamwork in our band workshop. Learn from our expert tutors about how to engage your audience, build stage presence and confidence performing live.
Content Creation
Stop Scrolling. Start Creating: From viewer to creator in one workshop. You consume hundreds of posts daily time to make content worth sharing. Learn to capture attention and tell stories that resonate. Just bring your creativity and cell phone!
