The main looks trending in ball makeups this year are being described as:

To help you achieve this look you need to consider

  1. Your natural skin tones with a fresh and effortless look. Start with a lightweight foundation or tinted moisturizer to even out your skin tone. Enhance your features with a touch of mascara, a hint of blush, and a natural-looking lip balm. Remember, the goal is no make-up, make-up look
  2. The clean girl aesthetic: This includes high shine lips, dewy cheeks, highlighter for radiant natural look glow, finish with natural looking false lashes
  3. Smokey liner: Winged liner applied with eye shadow or eye liner pencil smudged out for a smokier look, perfect in both brown and black
  4. Mocha neutrals and nudes – These fresh natural tones, matte and/or metallic can be used. Intensity can be customised to your preference
  5. A Touch of Sparkle: ball make-up is also a time to add some sparkle and shimmer to your look! Apply a touch of glitter eyeshadow to the inner corners of your eyes or create a subtle glitter liner along your lash line. 

Pro Tips for 2023

  • KEEP IT ON - no one wants to bother with touch ups throughout the night, try a setting powder - light application will not ruin your glow. Also, consider a light setting spray and using long wearing products
  • MATCHY MATCHY - If getting a spray tan, ensure your current foundation matches your new faux sun kissed glow
