Our kaupapa is to ensure ākonga Māori feel welcomed and have a sense of belonging throughout their life and learning at Toi Ohomai | Te Pūkenga.

We arrange kaupapa Māori based activities and events to foster whanaungatanga and kotahitanga amongst our ākonga.

We also help with cultural information, study skills, such as academic writing and time management; and connect you to people who can help you along the way.

Accessibility, library, careers & employability, engagement facilitators (pastoral care) to name a few.

We encourage a strong ākonga Māori community network through our Nga Tētēkura group.

If you're new to Toi Ohomai | Te Pūkenga and starting this semester, you'll receive an email from Hinemaea to welcome and invite you to an ākonga Māori Pōhiri and whakawhanaunga – this will be before your course starts.

If you haven’t heard from us yet, or would like to know more about the support you can access, contact us on [email protected]
