Our kaupapa is to ensure ākonga Māori feel welcomed and have a sense of belonging throughout their life and learning at Toi Ohomai.

We arrange kaupapa Māori based activities and events to foster whanaungatanga and kotahitanga amongst our ākonga.

We also help with cultural information, study skills, such as academic writing and time management; and connect you to people who can help you along the way.

Accessibility, library, careers & employability, engagement facilitators (pastoral care) to name a few.

We encourage a strong ākonga Māori community network through our Nga Tētēkura group, Facebook and Instagram.

If you're new to Toi Ohomai and starting this semester, you'll receive an email from Te Riini and Hinemaea to welcome and invite you to an ākonga Māori Pōwhiri and whakawhanaunga – this will be before your course starts.

If you haven’t heard from us yet, or would like to know more about the support you can access, contact us on [email protected]
