Fashion Design - Anne-Marie Simon, Donna Dinsdale, Room H142
Specialist Fashion Techniques: Materials, Machinery and Method. A hands-on PD workshop for secondary Fashion, Textiles, and Design Technology teachers. Learn bridal, leather, and swimwear techniques using industry machinery. You’ll create high-quality technical samples and gain practical, classroom-ready tips.
Graphic Design & Content Creation - Adrian Maidment, Dale Sattler Room M124
Shoot, Design, Post: Create thumb-stopping content. This workshop guides you through producing, shooting and editing video then mastering free simple online design tools to produce effective social media advertising projects.
Visual Art - Darcell Apelu, Kyle Sattler, Riley Claxton, Room M104
Reimagining Monuments: Legacy and Manākitanga: Challenge traditional monuments through a Te Ao Māori and manākitanga lens. In this hands-on workshop, you will discuss public history and build a small-scale maquette using accessible materials to express your personal vision of legacy.
Toi Māori - Que Bidois, Room M201
Te kura huna o Uetonga: Diving into the Moko and its unique design: This workshop introduces the cultural, visual, and conceptual intricacies of moko as a pathway for deepened Māori-informed art learning. Led by Tauranga Moana artist and educator Que Bidois (Ngāi Te Rangi, Ngāti Ranginui), the workshop explores how the histories, patterns, symbolism, and tikanga of moko can enrich creative inquiry while ensuring culturally safe and respectful practice.
